HBIF assists any Hispanic entrepreneur who meets the following criteria (Hispanic entrepreneurs who do not meet these requirements can participate in our bilingual seminars and receive limited consulting assistance):

  • The business owner must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
  • The business must be at least 51% Hispanic owned and operated.
  • The business must be located in one of the following Central Florida counties: Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole or Volusia.
  • The business must have potential to grow and generate new jobs.
  • The management team must have educational or professional experience in the industry.
  • The entrepreneur must be able to contribute a portion of the start-up capital.
  • The activities of the business must not be detrimental to the health, safety and welfare of the community.
